When the Performance Becomes Too Heavy

For many neurodivergent people, survival has meant learning how to pass. Adjusting our voices, our expressions, even our dreams to fit what the world expects. Over years, this constant performance can leave us exhausted, disconnected, and unsure who we are beneath the mask.

Module 4 is about coming home. We’ll explore the high cost of camouflage, the ways multiple identities intersect to deepen burnout, and the grief that can surface when we finally stop performing. Together, we’ll begin to imagine a life where rest, authenticity, and self-trust are not luxuries, but non-negotiables.

Kris McElroy brings lived experience at the intersections of race, disability, and identity, offering a perspective rooted in art, radical honesty, and the courage to be seen.

This is where we lay the mask down and look directly into the mirror. Not to judge, but to recognize ourselves again.

Neurodivergent Rising: Reclaiming the Truth of Difference

Neurodivergent Rising is a 9-week, live-taught learning journey that goes far beyond checklists, stereotypes, and clinical labels. Through a trauma-informed, multidisciplinary lens, we’ll explore the lived realities of neurodivergence and the cultural, historical, and systemic forces that shape how it’s understood.

Alongside a community of peers and powerful guest voices, you’ll uncover the wisdom of your own body, question the systems that demand you perform or conform, and reclaim difference as a source of intelligence and strength.

This course is for neurodivergent people, caregivers, and practitioners who want to deepen understanding, expand compassion, and imagine new possibilities for living, relating, and thriving.

Each module combines live teaching, guest sessions, guided practices, and reflection tools to help you integrate the learning into daily life — so you leave not just informed, but transformed.

With warmth, honesty, and a grounded approach, Neurodivergent Rising invites you to step into a truer way of being — not as someone broken or in need of fixing, but as a whole person rising into your own truth.

Your Guide Inside:
Kristina Kyser

Kristina Kyser is a seasoned psychotherapist, spiritual guide, and consciousness educator with a rich background in academia, trauma healing, and integrative transformation. She blends neuroscience, psychology, and spiritual wisdom to help others move beyond limiting beliefs and into deeper self-awareness and personal expansion.

But beyond her professional expertise, Kristina is—above all—deeply human. A mother of three boys, she understands the realities of balancing personal growth with the demands of daily life. As a neurodivergent individual on the autism spectrum, she brings a unique perspective to her work, valuing deep thought, curiosity, and the power of questioning the world around us. She finds joy in reading, learning, and exploring the mysteries of consciousness, always seeking to expand her understanding and share that knowledge with others.

With warmth, insight, and a grounded approach, Kristina invites you to step into Transcend—not as a student following a rigid path, but as a fellow traveler on the journey of self-discovery.
